History
| The Monmouth Chapter was founded on June
29, 1913. It covers all of Monmouth County and some of Ocean
County. The Monmouth Chapter is one of the most active Chapters in
the New Jersey Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. It
has over 60 members at the present time. We are always looking for
new members to help in Chapter activities. If you are an existing New Jersey Society Sons of the American Revolution member and wish to join the Monmouth Chapter, please send an email to our Chapter Registrar Mr. William "Bill" Hankins, at ten41@verizon.net or our NJSSAR State Registrar Jim Smith at smithsr1@verizon.net. If anyone knows the location of a Revolutionary War Veteran gravesite within the Monmouth Chapter geographic area, please let us know, so that information on the patriot's gravesite location can be preserved and possible dedication ceremonies conducted by the Chapter. You can contact our Graves Registration Officer Mr. Arthur T. Green at atdegren2@yahoo.com. The Monmouth Chapter is present at the Battle of Monmouth in June every year and has a table set up for new members to join our fine organization. We are also present at The Battle of Bound Brook every April, Archive Day every October in Manalapan, the Apple Festival in Old Bridge every November. The Monmouth Chapter also has guest speakers attend various schools in Monmouth County, and other Organizations, and Societies. Compatriots Clark D. McCullough Chapter President, Arthur T. Green, Past Vice President and Ed Glidden, Vice President are available for speaking engagements. They maybe contacted via e-mail. A guest speakers fee can be worked out in advance. The Monmouth Chapter also presents JROTC certificates and medals to various students every year at Old Bridge High School, Colts Neck High School, and M.A.S.T. on Sandy Hook. We also honor "Eagle Scouts" who have completed a Revolutionary War Project. On this website you will find information on when and where our Chapter conducts its meetings and directions to the meetings. We will also have our guest speakers listed. Our Chapter events will also be listed.
